That's a good question. I wonder what perfecto or all-glass would say? I would say if you use it in your lifetime, it's good, provided the tank was made post 1990. 1990 is an arbitrary date. My thought is if it's a relatively new tank, it should withstand storage for as long as you care to store it...before you decide you're just not going to use it and sell it
