How to make co2 instantly

Hello all I just have a diffuser but i need a high amount of gas pressure before it will start bubbling. I was thinking citric acid with baking soda? Will it work? or will it fizz up and not do much. And does anyone here know the best super fast sugar and yeast reaction

sugar yeast should produce gas right away...but the way you word it you should have a compressed cylinder

My sugar and yeast mixtures typically took 4-24 hours before they would start to bubble. I agree with TM, sounds like you should go pressurized.

I would if only the compressed doesn't cost as much. But I learnt in one science class that mixing baking soda with citric acid makes carbonic acid which is co2 with water? I was thinking of using that and then the yeast mixture would kick in after it started to ferment. (I am going to use it as a pressuriser.

I would not want to experiment with the tanks... Use what works, I've opted to install a commercial tank on my house, not practical for one or 2 tanks but with my plant systems etc it made sense. in the long run it's cheaper then mixing etc. a cylinder can last 6mo-a year depending on what and how long you use it.

You do not want a chemical reaction where you do not control the rate of CO2 production, you want to maintain a level of CO dissolved in your water, two totally different things. Steady levels of CO2 are what is required.

Output fluctuation from DIY fermentation is the biggest single issue with that process. Pressurized gas is more controllable. Using multiple DIY bottles can help even out tank levels, but rarely with the ease of pressurized gas. Chemical reaction are not as controllable.
