Default Bottom Feeder for Discus Aquarium

I am setting up a Discus Aquarium and wanted to find out which bottom feeder would work with them. The temperature would be around 84F.

I have pigmy aspidoras and kuhli loaches with my discus. Clown loaches can handle the temp too but they get a little rambunctious at feeding time, especially as they get bigger.

Any type of Cory. cat will do a nice job and get along just fine with Discus, IME.

Mark, what temperatue do you keep your discus aquarium at? I klike the idea of Kuhli Loach, but I Want to make sur they can survive the temperature.

I keep my tank at 86 f. The kuhlis do fine and keep the snail population down.

I keep a few cories and bristlenose plecos without any trouble. I have also kept fancy plecos with discus in the past (I hope to again shortly).

Ive kept fancies and a common with discus without problems too, however I was always warned about the plecos attaching to the discus for their slime coat... but I've yet to experience that myself and believe it's more of an issue of the pleco not getting enough food.
