Default Alien/clown loach hybrid?

Sooooo ok. So I changed out the substrate in my 180, the loaches were unhappy for a few days, uprooted plants time and time again, ect. But yesterday morning I saw Albert(a), the king(queen) loach do something very very odd...

It was the normal morning routine, a little loach surfing, a little loach piling, a dance here and there. Albert and I were commiserating, he will often "sit with me" in the corner of the tank. And then, quite suddenly and apropos of nothing, his mouth...eeeek! It like, shot out! Like, turned inside out! He lifted his head a little, wiggled his wigglers, opened his mouth, and did something that I can only explain to be similar to a large mouth bass. Like an Alien mouth!

Normal? Not? Call an exorcist? Any ideas?

I think he was trying to give you a smooch...

Sounds like a yawn.

I'd call an exorcist anyway. Sounds like fun.

I have seen my bigger ones do something similar. I just assumed it was the clown equivalent of a yawn.

I would, but who knows what's in holy water. Is it dechlorinated? is it hard or soft? What would it do to my water chemistry? And how many gallons are you going to add?

Worse yet, would Albert have to be removed for a holy water dip? What if demonic possession is a water borne illness?

You might try stroking the tank with a chicken's foot just to be safe.
