Default 20 gallon brackish pics

Finally have some pictures of the brackish. I just got the puffer on Wednesday. He's very active and eats very well. He still has some ick, but now that he's in brackish, the salt should take care of that. His tail is also a little torn, but he was the healthiest of all the others. I will be taking the fake plants out when I put more river rocks and plants in there. An interesting thing is that my crypt is doing a lot better and has grown faster since I started adding salt.

Nice tank. Brakish tanks are always interesting, probably because they aren't as common.

Do you buy marine salt, and measure accordingly for brackish water?

Very nice markings on the puffer.

Interesting with the crypts too. What SG are you running at?

Right now it's at 1.002 as far as I can tell with a slightly leaky glass hydrometer. I plan to get it to 1.005.

I use Instant Ocean salt.

The substrate is estes marine sand.

You should give in and get the puffer, they are very fun to watch.
