Default Wierd apisto behavior

Today I noticed my female apisto floating over a plant with her side fins clamped (all the others wer flared out) and she was wiggling as if she wanted to swim without fins, at first I thought something had torn them off, but then she unfolded them and continued swimming normally. The only thing I could compare it to is a the way a clownfish swims in an anemone. Is this some kind of spawning behavior I didnt notice earlier? Ive had her for a while and I never noticed her doing this.
