Default What is going on?

I have a pair of Labeotropheus fuelleborni (Chidunga) in a community tank. They are both about 2" long. The male has been chasing the female for about a month now. Well, this morning she seemed to be holding something in her mouth. The male won't let anything near her and they keep going behind the rock where he "vibrates" (for lack of a better word). Is she too young to breed? and if not, how does this process work? Does she carry the eggs in her mouth, or are there fry I haven't seen? Is there a link to how they breed?
Thanks, -C-Man-

maybe mouthbrooding, the shimmying I would assume is a breeding behaviour, so they could verywell be breeding,

From the distension of her buccal cavity, it looks like they've already spawned, and she's carrying eggs in her mouth.

Thanks Lobo. I wish I could take pictures that well consistently. 99% of them get thrown out.

Yep... just too bad there isn't a photo contest any more

Yep, looks like she is carrying eggs now.

If he's still trying to breed, you should consider getting more females. He may harass her while she's mouthbrooding.

Ahh....if she was a first time parent, they usually need a few times to get it right. Getting more females may help though, since he won't be chasing her and stressing her out when she's holding (causing her to swallow them).

I have already gotten 2 more females for him to run around. On a plus note... The guppies are breeding well.
