My large male red turq died last weekend. I still have no idea why. On friday he was fine, and eating like his normal piggy self. When I went to feed them saturday night he had sloughed most of his slime coat and was laying on the bottom gasping. Sunday he was dead. Water params tested perfect and the other fish are showing no symptoms. I raised him from a juvie. I'll miss him...

Aloha, Im back again from an extended stay in the hospital. Mark from the description, your discus suffered from Columnaris. Treatment requires Furacin(sp?) as directed on packaging. I am so sorry fore your loss.
I will be getting out of the hobby altogether due to Health issues. Im on dialysis and just had some major problems with my heart and an infection. But will try to visit when I can and help where possible. Ike |

Sorry for your loss Mark! Moose was a great looking fish and had a great life in your tank and under your care.
I'm also sorry for the late post but I've been super busy up at the Zoo, let me know if you need any tickets I should be getting some with this next paycheck. ![]()
