Default Howdy and Thanks!

A quick hello from Austin, Texas and a big thanks to Aquariumboard.com. I recently started co-habitating with my girlfriend, her two cats, one crazy bearded dragon, and two small tanks of fish. Never having kept fish myself, I though you just buy fish, put 'em in a bowl of water, feed 'em every couple of days and they would take care of themselves ... not anything that sounded interesting to me at all. But after having her teach me all that goes on in sucessfull fish keeping, I must say that I have really taken a liking to it. Since the move, we've gone from one 10 gallon to a 20 long and a new 10 that is about to become a 29 in the next few weeks. I did a broad search looking for usefull info on setting up new tanks and came across your forum. Not only the best looking and most user friendly site I found, but full of great info from ya'll. It shows in your posts that you guys have a great passion for this and hopefully I can learn quite a bit from you. I won't ramble on any more than I have already, so "Thanks and hope to read from you all real soon."

Ditto, Daniel!! Hope you find all you need---if you don't, just ask. My question is, how do you get a 10g to change into a 29gallon? I'm trying to get a couple of tanks a little bigger, too. LOL

Hey Dan....welcome aboard !

Break out your camera and post us some pics of what you have...we're picture geeks...just love to see other's setups !

I'm willing to bet that the 29 will grow into something larger in short order....lol.....why not save some money and just jump right up to a 65 !

You have to water the OUTSIDE of the tank if you want it to grow

And as for the pictures, i will post up some soon, but they pale in comparison with some of the pics I've seen. hopefully practice makes perfect in that regard. i would like my next project to be a plant tank, and after seeing the photo's of reiverix's tanks, it astounds me how much good work these tanks can have done to them. thanks for the welcome and i shall work on those pics.
