Welcome to the newbie Forum, we are glad to have you here and as a member of the aquaria community.
Some basic Guidelines for posting here and in the other Forums: 1. Whenever you post, please include your tank information. Tank size Type and number of fish How long has the tank been set-up What is you general maintenance program 2. Whenever you post a question please give us water parrameters in actual numbers, If you say your parrameters are O.K. someone will have to ask for numbers, because we cannot work well without good information, and O.K has a wide range depending on who you've talked to and what you have read. If you do not have test kits, Say so. Tell us what you have and don't have then we won't need to ask for specifics. Include the following information or tell us when you have no way to get that information. Ammonia Nitrite Nitrate Kh Gh pH Tank Temp This information is vital to recieving good answers to any water, disease, or stocking question. This does not mean you have to buy a test kit before you can post, but let us know your situation up front, and Folks can give you better answers sooner. Browse the articles and stickies and use the search feature before Posting a question. Many times your answer is already here and you can recieve it immediatly rather than waiting for folks to respond. That's All I have for now, Good luck and may your fish stay wet, and your floor stay dry. dave Last edited by Daveedka : 05-06-2006 at 02:27 PM. |

Actually, this site just got started. Most of the people here came from another site that kinda went down hill, so must of us have been keeping fish for a while. Its nice to see a new person around, and see that people are finding the forum. One main reason we are hear is to help people out as well as get help with things that we have no expierence with. Most of the people here all started out as beginners with questions, and became regulars. Some of the people here have been keeping fish since before forums like this have existed.

Come on, baby....

Hi there! I'm new! My husband has kept fish for years (you guys might know him, it's CaptnDan), but I started with the hobby in October this year.
I started with a 2 gal hex tank and a betta named Sushi. Graduated to a 5 gal guppy tank. Boy are those suckers hard to keep alive! It seems our water was toooo good. I have 2 month old fry now and they seem to be hanging in there. I got an early Christmas present from the Captn... A 29 gal bow front tank with all the fixins. When I get decent pics (taking pics of fish and tanks is a lot harder than I thought) I'll post them. Currently I have 4 Dwarf Blue Rams, 2 Ottos (sp), 6 Spotted Corys, 9 Harlequin Rasboras (a a partridge in a pear tree) in the tank. All are doing well. I look forward to talking with everyone.
