Well, I feel better now! But when it happened I just sat on the floor and laughed and laughed - after I turned the spraybar back down....

While I was cleaning out the hoses one time I put the spray bar on upside down. I didn't realize it until I turned the filter on and moved the spray bar back to the top of the tank.

Good way to wash the walls. And the dogs. And the living room. And the carpet. And anything else that was in the general vicinity.

Bowheads! No bull, just bows. It's about bows by the bowheads who keep them.

Buy Eheim 2028. Other suggestions are filled with rhetoric for a reason.

I own two of them along with 2080 and 2229. Eheim filters are silent and reliable. I use Hydor ETH 300 for external heater.

Yay! I'm in great company!

Oh, and btw, I have a 2213 and a 2215 with sponges on the intake thingy (technical term) for my rather heavily planted tanks. I am delighted with them.

Prefilter...sponge prefilter if you'd rather. That's the "technical" term. See, I told you you weren't alone! I'm a little surprise Roan did it but that's o.k. too

Brilliant, have you owned any of the Eheim classics? 2213,2215, 2217? We all know RTR's take but it's always interesting to get other points of view A co-worker brought his 2028 in after he bought it to show it off. I personally didn't see how he could drop 2+ bills on it, afterall, it's plastic too. I know the rep and I don't want to go back in a circle...just re-read the thread

Yay! "prefilter" it is then. It really works, too.
I am still a relative newbie to fishkeeping, the tank that got me interested in aquariums was only given to me in May of 2006. It was a 20 gallon with a Marineland Penguin HOB. I still have a HOB running on my 10 gallon betta/shrimp/snail tank.
Love, love, LOVE the Eheim canister filters, though
