Man, I haven't been in here for ages.... but I am always around!!
I am looking to get another regulator as my current one is so danged finicky to work with. So... I was looking at this regulator. Anybody have used this brand before? I am trying to see what my other opinions may be. I might just go with Rex Griggs' regulator if there is no other recommendations. ~EDIT~ Dang, I can't edit the poll... Grigg not Rigg ![]()

Jinxy!! How ya been, girl!?
I've never seen the one you linked. The price is low, but I've found that with co2 equipment, low price doesn't always equal good equipment. I haven't used Rex's regulator, but have heard some good reports about it. The one I use is made for Teledyne by a company here in Texas, and is the same set-up Aquarium Design Group uses in their systems. It's proven reliable and rock solid for me. Even though it's a little more expensive than some regulator/solenoid/needle valve set ups, I think it's well worth it. You can google ADG's site for the phone number and call Jeff Senske or Mike Senske for info, if you're interested. Mark

I cant comment on anything but the one I have. It has been in operation for close to 6 years w/o any problems. I got it from a beer supply place called kegworks.com. I dont use a solenoid. Here is a link: CO2 Gas Double Gauge Regulator Draft System - Air Tanks & Regulators
If you buy it, I suggest you also get the set of 6 nylon washers for it - an extra $2.85.

OHH!! I was just looking at that regulator at kegworks. It was the place where I got my tank from... I shoulda have gotten the regulator from there in the first place huh??
Two question for you TTA... 1) I have splitter like this that I would like to use... is there any way I can add it on to this regulator? It is kind of hard to tell from the picture. 2) At that website, it says "Nonadjustable “shut down” blows off at 55-65 psi" so when the tank pressure drops to that PSI range, it blows off any remaining CO2? Where? How? Mermaiden, thank you!! I am always around just not very often because I don't have internet at home anymore. Wesley, I've been great aside from a rough start for a new year but things have settled down and it is for the best! Thanks for the info about regulator... I am kind of trying to save money still... I had a dentist visit today and it didn't bring any good news... my fund for co2 regulator will have to go for dental BOO HOO!!

I am not sure re the blow off, but I have run my tank down to empty and not had problems. In fact the tank has had very few deaths cept from old age.
If you can not screw that manifold directly into the the regulator out (you need to remove the nipple/valve), take the manifold and the regulator into a local plumbing supply place. Tell them you need an adapter to connect the two. I had to do this so I could screw my needle valve into the regulator out. The piece cost me a couple of dollars.
