The fish is actually about 13" long. I got lucky with this fish because it already eats pellets. Hooray for no starvation period.

I always wanted to keep a big gar. It's fantastic that he eats pellets already. Very nice find, there.

Wow... We have those in our creeks here. Never dreamed of keeping one as a pet. It is not uncommon to see one 5-6' long. How big is your tank?

Right now it's just in a 265. I'll upgrade later, but it's very uncommon to see a Florida Gar/spotted gar over 30".

Gorgeous fish. They always remind me of those clips that hold your little paper bib on when you go to the dentist, though...
