Default The 125

As you can tell, I'm bored. So here are some pics of my 125 which obviously needs some foliage.

Yeah the wood is nice. It looks like you have standard, stock lighting on the tank?

If that is the case, I would add anubias. It grows a little slow, but would eventually spread really nicely in a tank that size.

Yep, plain old lighting. I have UncaBret to thank for the big piece of driftwood. He gave it to me at an auction. Thanks!!! I have been thinking about hanging some shoplights above the tank and leaving it open tank to keep the cats off. All they do is knock the lids into it all the dang time and leave hair floating. Ick!

No cats have fallen in yet? That ought to sate their curiosity...

Swimming cats! My cat, Guy, fell into the tub once. It was really hilarious.

When my cat was a kitten she jumped into the toilet while I was peeing...lol...she thought the seat was down and that was her usual path to the sink. She never tried that again. I think she lost 1 of her 9 lives with that maneuver.

Insult to injury! Poor cat.

And btw - lovely tank, Jodi. Plants will look wonderful in there. Maybe you can use the sunken cars as planters?

Thanks lol. I am hoping no more sunken cars make their way into the tank. My son has moved to coloring walls now instead

How much should anubias cost? My local store sells it for about $7. Is that a good deal?

How big are they?

I got small cuttings for about 4 dollars a piece (3 years ago), and have seen larger plants, about 10 inches tall, going for almost 30 bucks.

It seems to me that anubias are more expensive. Maybe because they grow so slooooooow.

Aaaah, wall murals. I actually remember those days--2 or 3 years old. My mother wore that wonderful rich red from late '50's early 60's. It was so smooth and creamy and bright--I got several fanny whuppin's on that phase. I'm hard headed.

Tank looks great, Jodi!! I like the taking one's time approach to a really big tank, too. LOL I've had my 125 a year now and still haven't set it up. Still sleeping with the 75g. Aaaaaahhhh. Anubias . . . mmmmmmmm.
