Default updated pics of my 90g tank

Well after many ups and downs and a slight nervous breakdown here is my tank. I've had to replace several ballasts in the original Jebo lighting hood until I finally replaced it with a Coralife 4 x 65W CF light. The Jebo lights started sparking every time it would turn on, I'm glad they didn't burn my house down. My tank is now open on the top, which does have it's pros and cons. Please let me know what you think.

Whoa! That val and spiralis went nuts in there, didn't it? Your fish and plants look very healthy, Naps. Great to see you back at AB, too.

Thanks Mark!! Yeah the spiralis really took off(it's all about the root tabs, thanks for the tips)!! But no more Vals actually, they kept getting twisted up a breaking off from the spray bar current. I switched to Green Hygro(yeah that's why it's a jungle), it's stems can withstand the current and the leaves flow nicely in the tank. I just have to do WAY more trimming!!

And thanks, it's nice to be back. Work blocked a ton of sites so I can't post much anymore, but I'm on vacation right now so I thought I'd take some new pics of the tank now that it's up and running again.

Very nice! I like the filled-out look to that tank.

Plants are something that I have struggled with for years.

Love the pics--and those handsome angels--I especially like that face shot of the angels--they are such charmers!

When you look in the water column, its a jungle. Looking at the substrate its pretty open and clean. Do you spend a lot of time thinning it out?

about every other week I pull out some of the green hygro out, that's really the plant that takes over the tank. It has lots of roots off the stems, and the stems can twist around a bit too.

Thanks for all the comments, it's good to be back!!

No, the bigger ones are 5-6". It did take a bit for some of the plants to take root. Also I basically left little run ways all around the tank for the loaches and under the wood they have lots of cover and open areas to play around in. The loaches do need their play space!!
