Default Theme Tanks....anyone have one ?

Trixie just put together a really nice "pink" themed tank and it got me to thinking.....they're a lot of fun to design and even more fun to share once you get them just the way you want them.

Here's the place to share some pics of those works of art.....don't be shy, we'd LOVE to see them ! Add a bit of info about the tank too...live plants ? what you have it stocked with.......etc...etc...

I'll start with a tank that I had put together about ....oh, 5 years ago or so...can't remember.......I like it so much that I haven't changed it since...except for rearranging the fake logs now and then.

This is my Black and White 15gallon "Fake" tank. All the plants and logs are fake (obviously)...and I have it stocked with half black pastel guppies and panda cories. I did adjust the hue and saturation a bit because I can't seem to adjust the camera right to get the color to come out properly...I'll have to try that gray card thing sometime... This is a closer representation than without the adjustments.

the guppies...

pandas....those three little ones are all grown up now..

Default Pink!

Pink's my favorite color. Not princessy pink. Just pink.
This is a 15 gallon tall tank with 3 white skirt tetras(they look vaguely pink to me) and pink-ish plants.
It's just a start.
As the tank matures, I will add the pink plants that are a little more persnickety... for me, anyway

Pink plants are easier to find than black and white - but pink fish are harder to find than black and white. At least for a 15 gallon - pink kissers are WAAAAY out of the question. The rotala macranda is a persinickety plant for me - I need to wait until the tank matures more. Any other pink suggestions are welcome!

Cool tanks! Maybe some day I'll do a theme tank.

This post reminded me that I have a restored 20gal long that has the stainless steel frame and slate bottom which is still empty. I may have to do a cheesy retro tank...lol. With the bubble treasure chest and all.

GREAT idea Dawg !! LOL !

I have a 5 gallon such tank sitting under a table in the fishroom/dinningroom........not that I need anymore tanks to care for, but you've got me thinking.....I have seen some flourescent plastic plants...the green and orange ones....bet I can get a hold of some flourescent gravel too. But, what poor fish would I choose to be a prisoner to such a thing.....I don't think I could do it !

Glofish. But you would need sunglasses to look at it. That would be awesome!
There is something wonderful about theme tanks - it's like not taking ourselves so seriously for a bit.
