My betta is a ghost shrimp assasian, in fact he's an expert in this field I have been thinking of up grading him to a mystery snail to practice is technique. Anyway I get a kick out of watching him try and devise a way to destroy the ghost shrimp. hes a little slow

I have also discovered that feeding my african cichlids cilantro is a very cheap and effective method of supplying them with a veggie diet, a dollar roughly lasts apprixmatley 1-2 weeks or so, I just rinse it and attach it to the side of the tank with a veggie clip. Then I feed way less Its kind of nice they graze on it its not like a feeding frenzy with the stuff, I usually put about 5 stems in there in the morning and leave it in all day they tend to just eat the leaves off and leave the rest.

Well I still feed them a massive variety of things in conjunction w/ the cilantro.
there diet consists of: ocean nutrition spurlina flakes ocean nutrition Formula Two Frozen cubes(for my catfish) HBH cichlid attack sinking pelets wardleys floating pellets hbh super soft kill pellets hbh super soft spurlina pellets hbh veggie wafers (for my cat fish) hikari frozen spurlina brine shrimp hikari frozen brine shrimp hikari frozen dapnia San Francisco bay frozen plankton San Francisco bay frozen mysis shrimp cilantro cucumber I tried giving them freeze dried krill that I soaked but that didn't go so well and coulden't feed for a few days after while I was letting them clear it out, it seemed to back them up. and occasional hikari blood worms for a treat I have a mixed bag of fish in my 55 gallon which calls for a mix bag of food, I think I can almost feed a diffrent type of food for about two weeks before I repeat. |

The singing ring

Does it harm fish if there is an algae build-up and I get it all off, and it's clouding the water? Or is it just munching time (speaking of glass algae)?
