Food for thought. Last time I went to buy frozen brine shrimp, they also had Spirulina brine shrimp. So I bought some of that, too. Looks like green brine shrimp. Fish seem to love it.

Every time I siphoned from my 15 gallon, before I dump the water I look through my magnifying glass for fry. At first I dumped them back into the 15 but except for my one surprise baby that grew up (which is why I started checking), no more seemed to be making it. So 2 weeks ago I started dumping them into my empty quarantine tank along with the scuzzy water. Today I had to do some sewing and turned on the tank light. Oh, my, little baby diamond tetras. I don't know what I'm going to do with them.

Mine too. I have been using it for bout 9 months. My fish get frozen spirulina brine shrimp, mosquito larve, and white worms, fresh zuchini, algae wafers, cory wafers, and flake (I like to give them a varried diet). Out of all that the spirulina brine shrimp are the overall favorite by far, with the zuchini a close second for some species.

No deaths or signs of illness in the 65g tank'o'death for a few weeks, so of course I went out and bought a couple of Parkinsoni.

I may regret it.

But, the LFS has had them for about two months and no signs of anything wrong(I been checkin'), so they should be fine.

Ooops, that would be my son, Bryer. Just before hitting a 2 RBI single, I do believe.

Yeah, a little. But that's not a bad thing.

I think it's kinda "zen," bret. Much better than overdone. Live with it, look at it, feel it--if it speaks to you, listen.

I am soooo bummed! I think my canister filter is on its way out!!! I have had it for about 1 1/2 years and I noticed there wasn't much outflow and I just cleaned the filter about 2 weeks ago. So I was playing around with it and thought maybe there was air in the hose but nope. So I thought I would see if it was clogged up, nope. I shortened the tubing a little, that didn't help. So I opened it back up and I did noticed it looks like one of the seals is coming undone so I stuck it back in and the flow improved but then again this morning it was almost back to really weak again. I am bummed because I haven't been paid in over a month b/c I just changed jobs for the summer and don't get paid for another 2 weeks. Ugh. I will have to post pictures of the seal so you see what I mean. Wish me luck.

You should be able to replace just the faulty seal.

Last year on Mother's Day I bought some Knight Gobies and put them in the Brackish tank. A serious miscalculation as they truned out to be dinner.
This year I bought some Neons and Otos on Father's Day. Not for the brackish tank but they too turned out to be lunch.
I don't know if it's an annual stupidity fit or if I'm just overpowered to buy my fish the equivalent of a lobster dinner for special occassions.
Well with any luck I've learned my lesson.

Hey Steve, missed ya!!!!!!!! Welcome back.

Man, I had a pack of frozen krill in my freezer, and it's vaporized!!! I can't find it anywhere! I thoroughly understand the dryer/sock mystery, but out of the freezer????

My CT betta isn't doing so well. He's in a 2.5g minibow with internal whisper and small heater. PLanted with some watersprite, sand substrate, and the MTS originated from this tank. Params are all great, 0 0 10. He's not being a piggy, lays up in the leaves or leans up against the filter. Dunno . .. . .lethargic. Still flares at me, but he seems depressed.

Thank you Renee I am at my new job and working insane hrs, like 106 last week. Oh Yeah I'm now the Assistant Operations Manager at NYTEX Sports Center. A 3 rink ice facility with 2300 and soon to be 2500 seats on the center rink. Just reopened under new owners after being closed for 3 years. The Ft Worth Bramas CHL Hockey team will be playing there this season article here Central Hockey League. For a look at a really horrible picture of me that appeared in one of the local papers look here Star-Telegram.com | 06/16/2007 | Almost ready for skaters (photo only).
My hrs should start to ease as we get some of the 10 additional personel we are slated trained in ice operations. This is a great job, but I am exhausted. Im gonna go crash now.....

Well it has been a couple weeks since my Betta passed of old age so I figured it was time to fill the void. Here are some pics of my new addition:

This Betta makes me realize how inactive my other Betta really was.
