Default Free live food

The other day I opened a canister of fish food and noticed a bunch of tiny mealy worm like things in it. It is a mix of Betta Bites and GP Larval Diet from Brine Shrimp Direct | Quality Aquarium Fish Food Products. I examined the GPLD tube and found a small hole, so apparently the parent whatever got in there and the eggs hatched after I mixed the two. The bettas and rainbows love them!

That is definitely a 'glass is half-full' outlook!

I can just picture my Daughter reaching into a can of fish food and coming out with a pinch of live worms.

I suppose they meant something different by "larval diet", but that definitely falls under the category in an unintended way...

Ewww! I imagine my fish would love it, but I would not love the suprise.
I was once out in the garage scooping out a bowl of dry food for our cat, and a dead mouse came up in the bowlful--I thought it was alive, cause the food shifted and it moved. I dropped it and made my brother go and deal with it, I'm such a wimp!

Craziness. I think if I noticed something moving in the dry food I would have thrown it across the room. I don't like surprises like that, especially when it deals with worm like creatures. I still freak out if a black worm touches me even though they are harmless. eww!
