Mysterious seam leakage

When I got up from my post-work nap, I felt a wet spot on the carpet. I figured one of the dogs had an accident, although I took them for a walk before, and I was only asleep around an hour.
Cleaned/scrubbed it up, but it didn't smell like dog pee. No smell. I'm so exhausted my mind didn't register. I just checked again, and it was still pretty wet. Overhead light, look at the 20L. Water on the wood stand. Ooooh noooo--looks like water coming out of the bottom plastic seam!! I push it gently and the water and plastic move. Aaaaah. What's the best thing to do? Got 4 small severums in there, babies from Rapps last August. I've got towels up against and on floor (carpeted, of course).
Any suggestions? Should I empty it out and put them in a tub, since I don't have space anywhere else yet for them? Man, it's late for this. Aaarrgghhh.

I hope you found a good solution last night--I'd make sure it really was leaking from the seam. We had a beta tank at work that we thought was leaking around the bottom because there was water there, but it turned out it was dripping from the filter.

if you are sure the seam is leaking I would definitely empty the tank and find temporary homes for the fish. If the seam is coming undone, you don't want to finally finish coming undone and have all the water and fish come out at once. Maybe that won't happen, but thats what I would be afraid of. At the very least, you wouldn't have any more water leaking out if its empty.
