I Never Sleep!!!

Not really
I do have a bunch of Brichardi (sp?) that are acting really weird. At first they took over half of my 55g tank. (I have about 10 2" Cichlids along with 3 Brichardi) The 3 Brichardi have all ganged up on everyone else and kept them on the one side of the tank. (even the bad-a$$ bully!) Came home last Sunday and there were about 10 babies swimming in and out of a rock. I was stoked! About 4 days later... 10 more... and last night about 12 more. So now I have 3 sizes of fry. I find it amazing that the 3 Brichardi have schooled together and taken over half the tank. You can kind of see the babies in the picture.![]()

Resident Cannibal

You're lucky C man. My daffodils killed everything in the tank when they started to spawn, with the exception of my two yoyos. The last Brichardi colony I had, the alpha pair did the same thing...even killed the subordinate Brichardi. Good luck with those little terrors. The colony behavior is so cool in those fish.

hehe...i miss read the title and thought it said "barbies coming out of my ears"!!! I was like, "Why does canardman have barbies?" lol
Anyways, congrats! I love fry. Hopefully the adults won't terrorize your tank too much longer.

It's a girl

I don't know where he got his, but I get my rocks from various outdoor places. A couple I even found in my yard. I usually boil them before dropping them in a tank and so far I have yet to see any ill effects.

You may check the local landscpe supply store for neat rocks. Flagstone is always nice, and what I call "worm rock" is great for babies.![]()
