Default New Critter

Showed up in some live rock we bought for the 150. The 12 was just sitting empty, so now it has a bag of tahitian moon rock, 15 pounds of live rock, and water. Waiting for the floaties to clear out and the water to warm up a tad, and I'll move him in. That's a quart jar he's in, to give you some idea of the scale.

Ain't he cute!!!!

(and yes, I know, I still need to post pics of the 150! I took some today, but it still has just one MH on it, and is going through...growing...pains. I promise, I'll get pics up!!!)

We're going to have to be patient. Hubbin is heading off to San Antonio Texas for 7 weeks for a training class, so we're not going to hurry and put anything other than the rock in until he comes back.

We're hoping this is the only one.

I give it 4 weeks before you just have to add something.

Me? Solo? Into HIS tank?

Not a chance!

He's miffed enough that I opened the live rock before he got home.

Anyway, I'll be taking over the 40, when all the corals and fish are moved over. I'll be getting a frog fish for it, so there's no temptation for me to put anything 'extra' into his tank.

I know, we're weird--his tank, my tank, all the same, right? HA!

I'm pretty sure mandarian gobies aren't classified as "extras"

Just tell him I said it was okay.

You could say something to the effect of
"Honey, I read the aquarium board forums today and this nice young gentleman whom I do not know, nor does he have any experience with Marine fish let alone a Reef tank said it would be okay for me to get a Mandarian Goby."

I think it would go over great, I want one of those soo bad. I love the Mandarin goby we have at work, but you hardly see them (theres two there)

Uhhh...No, I won't put mandaring in a new tank. That's bad juju.

And the monster died.

So the tank will get a pistol/shrimp combo in a few weeks.
