Default Outdoor guppy setup

What is a good setup to get "feeder" type guppies to spawn in an outdoor container?

Thanks

some floating plants water lettuce, hyacaniths(sp?).

Might be a little cold for an outdoor container with guppies, but generally they will spawn on their own just fine.

I'd throw in a heater or two if you're doing it now. If you're waiting for the summer, everything you need should be there (but a heater would keep the temps constant or relatively so).

This is what I'm gonna do this summer to breed feeders for my SA leaf fish.

I had a similar setup, only in a 10g aquarium, with pygmy sunfish last year. I used hornwort a a good light and water movement, that was it. The advantage of doing something like that outdoors is you can use floating plants and the sun provides lighting for you

I used a kiddie pool and a sponge filter when spawning pearl gouramies outside. That set-up would work for guppies with the added aforementioned floating plants.

I had an outside tub last year for my guppies. They bred more outside than they ever did inside in my nicely controlled set up.
I just threw in some water sprite, hornwort, java moss and anacharis. Due to the location of my tub running constant electricity to it was very difficult so I had to do frequent waterchanges. Occasionally I would run an extension cord outside and run a filter on it just to get rid of some of the stuff that was in the water and make it clearer.
Last year was my first attempt at an outdoor tub and I was quite surprised at how well everything did out there last year. I can't wait to send the guppies back outside to play
