Yeah, I'm a big fan of the Riccordia's myself. Unfortunately for me I'm just babysitting them for a local who had a tank crash. I've got a few nice pieces that I'm sitting on out of her tank and I have them all strategically placed to encourage them to spread out and frag themselves!!!

Gonna get my new macro camera on Thursday, when that happens, I'll play

EMG, I just got a Ric, it walked away the first night, haven't seen it since. I've been looking every night in every crevice, and nothing. How do you lose a Ric in a 5.5g?!

Thanks Dan, they did look a bit different, but I didn't know if that was because yours is older and more mature than the one I have.

BTW....I hear you're going to be giving us a fraggin demo at the next CTARS gathering.......fantastic ! I was at the meeting tonight and picked up some type of zoanthid and a larger mat of green star polyps....I'll be taking pics and posting as soon as they open up. They're floating at the moment

the club president said he will be getting lots of corals to be fragged, dont know if they will be raffled or given away but should be fun

I will be using tile saw, and various other techniques for fragging and attaching...should be a good time

Look forward to it !

Here's a group of zoas I picked up in the santa swap yesturday......they're just beginning to peek out.....Dan, is there anything to be concerned about with that whitish coloring along the edge of these...or is that just a sign of stress ?

and....a matt of green star polyps....I'm a bit disappointed in their color, they're more brown than green..not nearly the brilliant green of some others that I have, but maybe they'll color up a bit more once they adjust...

and that little group of polyps I found floating around the tank are beginning to open up some more....nice color on these !

like the zo's - the whitish you refer to being inside the polyp? i think that is just its coloration.

and my star polyps are the super uber ones - brown only - never colored up, but they are still nice

o and have to share - mixed up some new coral recipe ala Eric Borneman's book and was able to get some strong response from my sun corals

Mine turned brown too when I moved them from my 20g to my 50g under more light. I think either they turn brown under high light (unlikely since I've seen them bright green under halides) or they take awhile to adjust. Mine are still healthy and spreading, the older parts of the colony just aren't as bright now .
I'll take a pic and post it here, unfortunately I'm having an algae bloom from the new rock so it won't look great though.
