Default Aponogeton crispus

First is the plant. Not a great pic due to the tank it's in being scratched and some older leaves on it.

2nd is a flower stalk. This baby will throw off up to 8 stalks!

3rd is a stalk after the flower has "shed" and the seeds have developed. As you can see, if you don't want them taking over your tank, you'd better trim back the stalks before the seeds mature!!!

Enjoy!

Very nice shots and descriptions. If you leave it submerged will it form plantlets like a sword?

I think that the flower has to break the surface and the seeds need to form before they drop back down into the substrate to gerrminate.
