Post 29gal Rescaped, Suggestions? 56k Beware

After Getting my new bag of EC (now makes it 3 bags for total of 3 inches) I desided instead of replanting everything back where i
had it, I'd try my had at aquascaping (didn't know where to put the moneywort, so just stuck it in a bare spot for now, till i get
more growth on something else to replace it). And to my enjoyment, i found out that the chainsword that i thought was 5 plants,
was in fact 10 (was in a corner and the daughter plants was packed in to look like the mothers). I do have some corkscrew val's
in there, thier just tiny and keeping them in front for the time being. Also the bottom piece of whisteria in the left corner, just
seeing if it'll grow (i've read so much over the past week, can't remember what regrows and what don't after the weekend i've had).
So any suggestions on how to improve on it? Also don't mind the black cord in front of the java fern and Anubis,
Temp probe, testing the cable heater to see if i can improve on the heating.

I really like it. One suggestion might be to try and put plants with similar shapes together, so it's not so complicated to the eye.

Are any of the angels pairing yet?

Nope the angel's aren't pairing as i can see. Still running around in a trio (just got them friday). As for the shape pairing with the plants, it's a good idea. Only had them for a month and not sure what the final shapes are going to be and how thier going to spread yet (so far my crypt has turned from green and fat leaves, to skinny and rusty leaves. The osolot went from watermelon type green leaves to reddish hindenburgs. so next replant should have a good idea of the final leaf shapes). Figured I'd keep all the amazons together and seperate'em when they bush out (and a bigger tank). with the chain's i'm going for a ground cover effect.

The chains are great plants, really fast growing. Also keep in mind a new design, for when the vals start reaching for the sky.

It's a good start and when things bush out, you'll get a better idea of where you want to take it. I'd like to seee some hardscape in there. Rocks, wood.

Yep, I'm with Reiv.....add some rocks or driftwood in there and it'll give more interest to the scape. I'd also slap on a background....I like plain black for my tanks, though I have seen landscaped backgrounds that work very well too.

Your angels have a bit of growing to do before they show any spawning behavior. Mine are about 2 inches nose to base of tail...and have only JUST started to exhibit some interest in that area. Nice lot you have there.

The plants look nice and healthy Phantom ! Great job !

Default Re-Rescaped

Sorry took so long to get back to everyone that replyed. Had a very rough couple weeks. Had the idea for that big piece of bogwood i bought when i set the tank up the fisrt time, but it was just to big for a 29gal and for the life of me couldn't figure out how i was going to split it. Everything from a bench saw, to a wood splitter. So i just burried the hatchet (or axe in this case, helped with the furstartion of the last couple weeks in the process lol)) and came up with 3 nice pieces (had to figure out what to do with all the baby Java Ferns). So when i cleaned out the tank, i redid the scape a bit. Finially got me a 6700k bulb (and a wood airstone for the co2, that hagen ladder and the snails was to much trouble, using the ladder to hold the stone down) to replace the old 10k i was using (was 2 years old, and finally burnt out). Had to ditch the moneywort (was looking sad on everything but the new leaves. The Ludwigia is behind the big piece of bogwood, and trimmed down, so might not be able to see it yet. As for the Fish, well thier starting to act like cichlids, and showing each other who's boss. Had to add the clown pleco back to the 29, had a bad algae outbreak from when i was sick and didn't do my water changes and missed a few days of ferts.

Very nice Phantom !

Just needs some taller plants in both back corners....That wyseria in the back left corner should do nicely for that once it grows out a bit.

......and move the wood up toward the front a bit for a more 3 dimensional effect. Looks like the plants behind the driftwood are a bit crowded against the back of the tank, but..that could just be the angle of the pic.

Other than that, it's looking mighty fine I'd say !
