Default MTS's in my puffer tank

I have read many times in the past that you dont want MTS in your tank w/ puffers since thier shells are too hard and puffers can break thier teeth. Well, on my 45G that I am setting up for my puffers (currently acclimating plants and gobies from fresh) I just discovered some MTS. They are all over my 75 planted fresh tank, I assume one or some eggs hitched a ride on some java fern that I pulled from the 75 to go in the 45.

So I am currently at a loss of what to do about it... is there even a way to rid a tank of MTS? They are all very tiny I wonder if the fig8's will just ignore them? Are thier any other forms of snails that look like MTS? Mine are tiny little white trumpet snails with long extending tentacles/eyes/whatever they are. ALthough never seen in daylight on my 75, these things are out in full light under 2x65 PC in my 45.

you could try bait like some type of vegetable? or a loach or two, some suggestions. i know they have some thing called snail be gone but i don't know if your into that plus i don't know if it'll work with plants or work at all. the bait ideas might work or just start plucking them out one by one.

Well, I currently have some ramshorn in there - letting the population grow before I put the puffers in there so they have some food. Also, I have thrown some algea wafers in there - only the ramshorn came to them though - not sure if veggies would attract the mts better or not. They are too tiny to really find well, but if I look close I can spot several of them at different locations in the tank.

just take them out/ smush them as u see them, eventually they will be gone

or put some assorted fish food, an algie wafer works best for me but if you say they arnt comin to that..., some flakes and shrimp pellets will work too and put it in a bottle, put the bottle on the bottom of the tank with the opening resting on the ground so the snails can get in, wait overnight (or a bit longer) and then take it out, you will get a bunch of snails, id take out the ramshorn that u want and throw them back in, dump the rest...

you need a container they can go into but not come out of. They usualy only surface at night it is very hard to eliminate them.

Just a note....MTS don't lay eggs, they are live bearers.
